The Cube shows you a progress bar.
No numbers. No EXP values. No way to know what actually levels it fastest.
So we worked out the formula from the game's own values and verified it in-game using Alchemy gold. The result is pretty clear: most players are feeding the Cube wrong.
The Cube isn't really about item grade. It's mostly about item level.
Materials — gems, crafting mats, soulstones — use a flat multiplier. Gear scales with item level. That single difference completely changes what the best Cube fuel is.
Every item you put into the Cube gives Cube EXP. Alchemy and Synthesis use the same calculation — the only difference is what you get back.
For Alchemy gold the shape is identical — it just uses the gold base value and your Gold From Cube Alchemy rune instead.
| Grade | Base Cube EXP | Base Alchemy Gold |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 2 | 10 |
| Rare | 18 | 90 |
| Legendary | 54 | 270 |
| Immortal | 162 | 810 |
| Arcana | 518 | 2,592 |
| Beyond | 1,658 | 8,294 |
| Celestial | 5,803 | 29,029 |
| Divine | 20,311 | 101,602 |
| Cosmic | 71,089 | 355,607 |
Each grade jumps about ×3.2 over the one below. But grade is only the start.
This is the part that isn't shown on the Cube screen. Gear is multiplied by item level:
| Item level | ×Cube EXP | Item level | ×Cube EXP |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1 | ×1 | L50 | ×1,428 |
| L10 | ×40 | L60 | ×1,836 |
| L20 | ×240 | L70 | ×2,244 |
| L30 | ×612 | L80 | ×2,652 |
| L40 | ×1,020 | L90 | ×3,060 |
×12 instead. That's the key — a high-level gear piece can massively outperform a same-grade material.| Slot | × | Slot | × |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amulet | ×4 | Weapon / Armor | ×1 |
| Ring / Earring / Bracer | ×3 | Helmet | ×0.8 |
| Off-hand (Orb, Shield, Tome…) | ×2 | Gloves / Boots | ×0.75 / ×0.7 |
Stop thinking of the Cube as a gem dump. At the same grade, materials are flat — gear scales with level. Here's the cube exp per item, all Cosmic, before runes:
| Item fed to the Cube | Cube EXP |
|---|---|
| Cosmic material | 853,068 |
| Cosmic L1 weapon | 71,089 |
| Cosmic L90 weapon | 217,532,340 |
| Cosmic L90 amulet | 870,129,360 |
Cube EXP itself is hidden. But Alchemy gold is a visible number — so we tested it.
The formula predicted that a Legendary level-50 weapon would alchemize for exactly 234,468 gold. The game showed 234,468.
That confirms the exact structure the Cube uses: grade base × level scale × slot scale × rune. Cube EXP uses the identical structure with the cube-exp values.
Two Cube runes scale your output — but each applies to its own thing:
The Increased Cube EXP rune multiplies your Cube EXP.
The Increased Gold From Cube Alchemy rune multiplies your Alchemy gold.
Same formula shape, separate rune effects.
A +30% rune means ×1.3 on its side — and these can be leveled well past +30%.
For Cube EXP, it doesn't matter — both give the same EXP from the same item. The difference is the reward:
Alchemy gives you gold back. Synthesis gives you a grade-up item (and costs some gold). So: Alchemy if you want gold, Synthesis if you want progression materials. The Cube EXP is the same either way.
Feed the Cube your highest-level gear first. Priority:
1. High item level
2. High grade
3. Accessory slots
4. Cube EXP rune investment
Gems and materials are convenient. High-level gear is where the real Cube EXP is.
